"Most kids don’t come close to getting enough exercise daily and don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables: 62% of 1,630 parents with children ages 5 to 10 say their kids eat junk food one to four days a week. Only 14% of parents say their kids eat at least five fruits and vegetables a day. These results shed light on the reasons for the childhood obesity epidemic. About a third of children in the USA are overweight, which puts them at higher risk for type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and other health problems."*

We know you care.  That's why we have the Kid Kritics program so you can serve you family healthier foods they will like!  Lean on it to up your kid's
consumption of fruits and vegetables and to down their odds of being overweight and sick.  By the way, hundreds of YMCA children are Kid Kritics!

Come see us at the Boca Raton, FL. YMCA "Healthy Kids Day" event this Saturday! Or, find one in your neighborhood and have some fun with your  kids!

The-Stubborn-Fat-Fix
When you eat fat it increases the thermos in your body which is known as thermogenisis. This is the process of heat production in organisms. Valerie Berkowitz and Dr. Sally Byrd reminded us of this welcomed reality during our radio show. Eating fat, trans fat excepted, along with some low-sugar carbs will drive your furnace to burn calories and help you lose weight. Side note: for the best results, eat twice as many Omega 3 fats (fish, walnuts, avocadoes, legumes, berries, peas, flaxseeds, dark green vegetables …) as Omega 6 fats (corn, soy, corn oil, safflower oils & seeds, primrose oil, sesame oil & seeds, nuts, meat …) Most Americans are eating a 14 to 20 – 1 ratio – reason why so many are obese and sick. Make the right fat decisions. Reference The Stubborn Fat Fix for help. For more, listen to “Eat Fat? Yes or No.” on iTunes.

This is why we do what we do. We get crazy when we see such numbers. It has been reported that more than half of all kids have suffered from chronic illness.* Most of these chronic diseases can be prevented. Most chronic illnesses are related to obesity.

Stop and take a look at your family. Stop with the junk food. Stop with the processed food.

Start feeding your kids God-made food for their God-made bodies. It is that simple. The Kid Kritics Approved Seal program, our websites, our newsletters, our radio shows, our books, our CDs, our in person speaking, our seminars – everything we do is focused on making it easy to eat healthier foods that taste good. You can do it. Get started now.

Jimmy MooreJimmy Moore lost 180 pounds in one year by eating fat and no sugar.  He followed the Atkin’s Diet – followed it exactly – which means he ate at least 4 cups of leafy vegetables every day.  Most people overlook that part of the diet.  Jimmy also chose the good fat sources and did not eat pounds of bacon.  Good health was his motivation and still is.  This is why he has kept the weight down.

Fat will increase you metabolic process, a good thing.  Sugar stimulates the release of insulin which leads to storage of fat in the body, a bad thing.  Jimmy has lived following a diet combining good sources of fat, protein and complex carbohydrates.  He has canned simple process carbs – sugar.  So can you.

Having been morbidly obese at 480 pounds, he knows why adults and children are obese… they eat lots of simple carbs and little else.  Go to You Tube and type in Jimmy Moore.  You will be endlessly entertained while being educated by Jimmy and his wife, Christine!
