Oatmeal Peanut Butter Treats

PANS/EQUIPMENT: Glass or ceramic microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
NUMBER OF SERVINGS: 6 or more depending on ages
1/2 cup Once Again Organic Peanut Butter with Omega-3
1 Tablespoon honey
1 Tablespoon milk (organic is best!)
Combine ingredients in bowl. Heat in microwave until almost runny – about 30 seconds to 1 minute. (Lisa says “Mine didn’t get very runny”).
1 cup oats
1/4 cup dried fruits *
1/4 cup chopped nuts
Add to peanut butter mixture and stir to combine. Add extra milk if necessary. Roll into balls or spoon mixture onto waxed paper or parchment to cool. Store in the refrigerator.
* Raisins, cranberries, cherries or other berries work best. Chop larger fruits into raisin sizes.
OPTIONS: We recommend heating the ingredients on the stove-top in a small saucepan rather than the microwave! For children with milk allergy: substitute almond or rice milk for the cows milk.
