Power Packed Berry Smoothie (recipe below)
Quiche – easy to make. Kids Kritics have chanted for quiche. Buy pie crust. In bowl mix 5 eggs, tsp.mineral water (makes more fluffy), 1/3 cup milk, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tsp. oregano flakes, 1/8 tsp nutmeg, 1/8 tsp sea salt. Mix. Add 1/2 cup chopped cooked spinach, 1 cup small pieces cooked chicken, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Add to egg mix. Pour into pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes. Serve warm for dinner. Save slice for next day’s lunch box, warm or cold.
This smoothie is made with 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup 100% blueberry or apple juice, 2 tsp. Greens+ Wild Berry Burst Superfood (powder), 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen berries, 1 frozen banana. Add water for desired thickness… most kids like thinner smoothies. Pack it in a thermos.
Adjust the portions to their ages. remember, the young ones do not want to feel overwhelmed, and they usually do not have a lot of time to eat it. You could pack the Trail Mix for their morning snack.
